Addition Financial High School Branch Program Featured on WESH 2 News

WESH 2 at St. Cloud Branch

Student tellers at the St. Cloud High School Addition Financial branch in Osceola County made the most of the chance to put their growing financial knowledge on full display, via a WESH 2 News story.

WESH 2 News reporter Megan Mellado featured the credit union branch in a report in May, explaining how the High School branch program works and how students enrolled in the program learn financial skills from how to open checking and savings accounts to managing their money.

The head student teller told WESH 2 News that working at the credit union branch on campus also taught her lifelong skills, she can take with her to any job.

“After working here, I was able to really learn communication skills, and I’ve been able to talk to people more and have better conversations with them,” said Jessica Reed, Head Student Teller at the Addition Financial St. Cloud HS branch.

The St. Cloud High School branch is one of 3 Addition Financial High School branches in Osceola County, and one of 10 in Central Florida. An 11th branch, at Osceola High School is scheduled to open in the 2024-2025 school year.
