Addition Financial Credit Union Hosts U.S. Rep. Maxwell Frost for Discussion of Pressing Issues Affecting Credit Unions

ORLANDO, Fla (Jan. 4, 2024) — U.S. Representative Maxwell Frost convened with key leaders from several Central Florida credit unions this month for a vital discussion on numerous topics crucial to credit unions and the communities they serve. The meeting was organized by The League of Southeastern Credit Unions & Affiliates and hosted by Addition Financial Credit Union at their credit union branch on North Mills Avenue in Orlando.

Among the key issues addressed in the discussion were the funding levels for the Community Development Financial Institutions (CDFI) Fund, credit card interchange fees, affordable housing lending, small business lending, and the imperative of providing financial services to underserved communities. The meeting facilitated a meaningful exchange of ideas and perspectives of how potential legislation and federal funding decisions could benefit the Central Florida community financially.
