Addition Financial CEO and President Delivers Address at University of Central Florida 2023 Fall Commencement

Orlando, Fla – “Having a plan is not nearly as important as being prepared.”

That message was a central theme in the address by Addition Financial Credit Union President and CEO Kevin Miller at the Fall 2023 Commencement for several colleges at the University of Central Florida. UCF President Alexander Cartwright invited Miller to deliver the commencement address at Addition Financial Arena on the university’s campus to graduates of the College of Business, College of Engineering and the College of Optics and Photonics.

Miller highlighted the affection of education and community shared by UCF, their alumni, and Addition Financial. He also shared life stories and lessons from his college years, all the way to his unique path to leading the credit union.

“You may not know it today, but the experiences and education you received in becoming a Knight is preparing you for challenges that you do not even know are in front of you,” Kevin Miller said in his commencement address. “Be prepared to adapt and embrace where your circumstances take you. Embrace your circumstances. Embrace your life path.”

Addition Financial Credit Union and UCF began their long partnership in 1971, when the credit union opened its first branch on the university’s campus.  Addition Financial is the official financial institution of the UCF Knights and owns the naming rights to the Addition Financial Arena on the UCF campus.
