To support small businesses and give back to local non-profits, Addition Financial recently participated in the “Credit Unions Care Challenge,” presented by the League of Southeastern Credit Unions (LSCU).
To thank teachers for their dedication, Addition Financial has donated gift baskets to four local school districts for Teacher Appreciation Week.
In order to help those facing hardship amid the COVID-19 pandemic, Addition Financial has donated more than $30,000 to local non-profits to support their emergency funds for students and staff, food banks and other areas of need.
For the second consecutive year, Addition Financial served as the presenting sponsor of the Cure Bowl All-Stars Game, hosted by the Orlando Sports Foundation.
This February, the UCF College of Business will recognize Linh Dang, Addition Financial’s Chief Development Officer, with the Honorable Knight Award. The award honors alumni with more than 10 years of experience who have displayed excellence in their respective career paths. Linh, who received her bachelor’s degree in accounting from UCF in 1993, will be recognized at the 2020 College of Business Hall of Fame gala in Orlando.
This December, i4 Business Magazine recognized Linh Dang, Addition Financial’s Chief Development Officer, with the Business Leader of the Year Award in the Economic Development category. Linh was nominated for the award because of her community involvement and her contributions to the credit union.
Orlando Business Journal recently recognized Addition Financial with the 2019 Corporate Philanthropy Award. The award, which honored 13 Central Florida businesses and individuals, showcases organizations that have given back to their community by donating time and resources.
This November, CUES (Credit Union Executive Society) will recognize Linh Dang, Addition Financial’s Chief Development Officer, with the 2019 Exceptional Leader Award. Linh was selected for the award because of her contributions to the credit union industry and her exceptional service at Addition Financial.
Addition Financial will multiply its branches this year, with its newest expansion taking place in Brevard County. The credit union, which announced its intent to acquire Fidelity Bank of Florida in January, will move into its newest branch in Merritt Island this fall when the merger is complete.
As students head to class this fall, four lucky teachers will welcome them back in style, thanks to classroom renovations donated by Addition Financial.
The name and logo are not the only changes taking place at Addition Financial this year. Along with the credit union’s recent rebranding from CFE Federal Credit Union, Addition Financial has introduced contactless technology to its suite of credit and debit cards.
Thanks to a robust partnership with The LGBT+ Center of Orlando (The Center), Addition Financial has received the first-ever Harvey Milk Diversity in Business Award. This award recognizes a local business that celebrates and promotes diversity and inclusion in their business team.
A major landmark on the UCF campus will undergo a makeover this spring, as the CFE Arena changes its name to the Addition Financial Arena.
As CFE Federal Credit Union expands its footprint, the Central Florida-based credit union will undergo its next evolution, changing its name to Addition Financial on May 1.
