THOMAS COUNTY, Ga (October 30, 2026) – Addition Financial Credit Union and Thomas County Schools are teaming up to turn district pride into extra dollars for students and faculty, as they announced the launch of a co-branded affinity debit card that will provide ongoing financial support to the district. The credit union is expanding the donation-based program for the first time in Georgia, joining successful programs in school districts in Central Florida and North Florida.
Addition Financial’s High School Debit Card Program donates $0.03 to Thomas County Schools every time a member signs, swipes, or taps the card. This collaboration with Thomas County Schools marks the Florida-based credit union’s first school partnership in Georgia and a step forward in the credit union’s commitment to initiatives that empower students and lift communities. In the past decade, Addition Financial donated nearly one million dollars to schools in participating districts.
“You do not have to spend much time in Thomas County to get a true sense of the passion those who live here have for their schools and their community,” said Kevin Miller, President and CEO of Addition Financial Credit Union. “This partnership allows Addition Financial to honor that pride while providing ongoing support to students, educators, and families. We are especially excited that Thomas County Schools will be home to our first high school branch in Georgia, creating new opportunities for students to build financial skills and gain real-world experience. We are honored to bring this program to Thomas County Schools and this community.”
“We are excited to partner with Addition Financial and appreciate their commitment to supporting Thomas County Schools,” said Dr. Lisa Williams, Superintendent of Thomas County Schools. “This new debit card gives our families and community members another way to show their Yellow Jacket pride. We also look forward to the financial education and hands-on learning experiences this partnership can provide for our students.”
The district and Addition Financial revealed the new co-branded affinity debit card during the Thomas County Central High School football game on October 30.
In addition to the card launch, the partnership will include opportunities in financial education, volunteering, and the development of a student-operated high school branch, giving students practical experience in financial services and day-to-day credit union operations.
