Addition Financial Credit Union Announces New Partnership with Bethune-Cookman University
Partnership will introduce a co-branded affinity debit card, campus financial education and career opportunities for students

Addition Financial Credit Union and Bethune-Cookman University (B-CU), one of Florida’s leading historically Black universities, today announced a new partnership that will provide B-CU students with greater access to financial education, hands-on career opportunities and resources designed to support their financial success.
Through the partnership, Addition Financial will become the preferred credit union of Bethune-Cookman University and introduce a co-branded B-CU affinity debit card featuring university branding. With each use of the card, Addition Financial will donate 3 cents to Bethune-Cookman, as unrestricted funds, allowing cardholders to support the university and its students through their everyday spending.
“Bethune-Cookman University has been an important part of the Central Florida community for more than a century, and we are incredibly excited to work closely with its students, faculty, staff and leadership,” said Kevin Miller, President and CEO of Addition Financial Credit Union. “This partnership goes well beyond offering pathways to traditional financial services. It gives us the opportunity to invest in students’ financial confidence, contribute to their professional development and celebrate the traditions that make the B-CU community so special.”
Addition Financial will provide financial education workshops on campus for B-CU students, faculty and staff. The workshops will offer practical guidance and resources to help participants strengthen their financial knowledge and make informed decisions about their financial futures.
“Bethune-Cookman University and Addition Financial share a belief that preparing students for success means giving them the right tools both inside and outside the classroom,” said Dr. Albert Mosely, president of Bethune-Cookman University. “That includes the knowledge and resources to confidently make sound financial decisions for their futures. Through financial education, professional experience and direct engagement with our campus community, this partnership will help our students build a stronger foundation for life after graduation.”
The partnership will also establish a new Campus Ambassador position for a B-CU student. The student ambassador will help raise awareness of the partnership, connect the campus community with available financial education resources and support Addition Financial’s engagement at university events and activities.
Addition Financial will also create an internship pipeline designed to provide B-CU students with real-world experience in the financial services industry, develop students’ professional skills, and allow them to explore potential career paths.
