Addition Financial Honors Teachers and Nurses Across Florida and South Georgia During National Appreciation Weeks
“Thank You Tour” brought complimentary gourmet coffee, prizes and appreciation events to schools and hospitals across Central Florida, the Big Bend and South Georgia
LAKE MARY, Fla. (May 8, 2026) — During National Teacher Appreciation Week and National Nurses Week, Addition Financial Credit Union traveled across Central Florida, the Florida Big Bend and South Georgia to recognize and celebrate local teachers and nurses through a special community outreach initiative called the “Thank You Tour.”
From May 4 through May 8, Addition Financial team members visited schools and hospitals throughout the regions the credit union serves, providing complimentary handcrafted coffee drinks, giveaways and messages of appreciation to educators and healthcare professionals. At each stop, a gourmet coffee cart vendor served free specialty beverages on-site to help teachers and nurses recharge during their workday. Attendees also had the opportunity to enter raffles for prizes, including $100 Visa gift cards.
The Addition Financial “Thank You Tour” visited schools and healthcare facilities in Orlando, Kissimmee, Lake Mary, Leesburg, Tallahassee, Thomasville and other communities across Florida and South Georgia as part of the credit union’s ongoing commitment to supporting education, healthcare workers and community partnerships.
“Our teachers and nurses are among the most important pillars of our communities,” said Richard Barbari, Director of Community Development at Addition Financial. “Whether they are helping students succeed in the classroom or caring for patients and families during difficult moments, they give so much of themselves every single day. We wanted this tour to be a visible reminder that their hard work, compassion and dedication do not go unnoticed.”
As part of the multi-state appreciation initiative, Addition Financial team members made stops at the following schools:
- DeLand High School
- OCPS Academic Center for Excellence
- NeoCity Academy
- South Seminole Academy
- Eustis High School
- Leon High School
- Thomas County Central High School
- Gadsden County High School
The credit union also visited healthcare professionals at:
- Orlando Health Lake Mary Hospital
- UF Health Leesburg Hospital
- HCA Florida Osceola Hospital
