Addition Financial Credit Union Honored Among Industry Luminaries for Innovation in Tech, Leadership and Excellence
ORLANDO, Fla. (Nov. 7, 2025) – Addition Financial Credit Union was recognized among the nation’s most forward-thinking credit unions at the Credit Union Times Luminaries Awards 2025 held last night at Disney’s Yacht Club Resort in Orlando, FL. The awards celebrate organizations and individuals who are lighting the way in innovation, leadership and community impact across the credit union industry.
Addition Financial earned top honors in the category of Innovation in Tech – AI/ Cybersecurity/ Mobile Banking for its modernized mobile and online banking platform, built in partnership with Lumin Digital. The 100% cloud-native platform delivers a secure, intuitive and scalable experience designed to grow with members’ evolving financial needs. Since launch, online banking usage climbed from 50% to over 78%, app store ratings rose to 4.9, and member engagement surged with 150,000 more logins year over year—all while strengthening defenses with advanced fraud detection, multi-factor authentication, and real-time security alerts.

In addition to its category win, Addition Financial was named a finalist in three other Luminaries categories:
- Executive Leadership – Credit Union CEO ($1B–$4B) recognizing Kevin Miller for advancing digital transformation, leading a strategic merger with Envision Credit Union, and strengthening community impact.
- Excellence in Marketing ($1B–$4B in assets) for its bilingual animated commercial series that authentically reflects the diversity of Central Florida and champions financial empowerment.
- Rising Star – Credit Union ($1B–$4B) highlighting Esmeralda “Essy” Rodriguez for cross-functional leadership, mentorship, and her role in launching Zelle and the 2024 digital banking overhaul.
Now in its fourth year, the Luminaries Awards shine a national spotlight on individuals and organization honorees selected by a panel of independent judges. The event capped off the Credit Union Times Luminaries Day, which also included roundtable sessions on innovation, leadership, and the credit union difference.
