Welcome to Addition Financial’s
Student-Run Branch Program

Addition Financial launched the High School Branch Program in 2008 to further develop opportunities for quality education and financial literacy. In partnership with participating high schools, Addition Financial runs fully functioning credit union branches on campuses, staffed and operated solely by the students. Addition Financial and participating Central Florida high schools have had a very successful partnership resulting in significant educational opportunities through the program.

Taj D. Greene

Assistant Team Lead, Kissimmee Branch

"My time at Addition Financial has been a roller coaster ride. During my junior year of high school, I applied to become a teller at Poinciana High School after learning about the opportunity from a friend. The following year, I became Head Teller. I always looked for ways to challenge myself, always reaching for the next position. After I graduated from the high school internship in 2014, I was not sure what I wanted to do with my career path, but I did know I wanted to focus on business and finance, which I was studying in college.

In 2015, the same friend that told me about Addition Financial told me that the Kissimmee branch, where he worked, was hiring, so I jumped at the opportunity to become the new peak-time teller. In early 2018, I went full-time and was promoted later that year to Assistant Team Lead.

My time here was not always easy. I had learn the banking language and I was always afraid to ask for help starting out. One skill that incoming high school interns should develop is to be able to fully express yourself. Don’t be afraid to ask for help or guidance. So far, the most valuable outcome from a career at Addition Financial has been all the knowledge I learned about banking and credit unions, which has not only applied to my work life but to my personal life as well."
